About the Journal

HUAWEN: Journal of Chinese Language, Culture, Literature, and Chinese Language Education is an open-access and peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to disseminating current and original research in the fields of Chinese linguistics, Chinese literature, Chinese culture, Chinese language education, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL), translation studies, intercultural communication, and related areas of Chinese studies.

The journal aims to provide a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, educators, and practitioners to publish high-quality research articles, review articles, and theoretical studies that contribute to the advancement of Chinese language, literature, culture, and education. HUAWEN welcomes interdisciplinary perspectives that promote the understanding and development of Chinese studies in both local and global contexts.

HUAWEN is published by Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa Harapan Bersama, Indonesia. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance. The views and opinions expressed in published articles are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the journal, editorial board, or affiliated institutions.

Submissions are accepted throughout the year. Before submitting a manuscript, authors are encouraged to ensure that their work falls within the Focus and Scope of HUAWEN, follows the Author Guidelines, and is prepared using the journal manuscript template.
